BEIJING CITY AND SYMPOSIUM VENUE

Beijing has served as the capital of China for more than 800 years. The city is full of places of historic interest and scenic beauty, e.g. the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and the Great Wall.

Beijing is in the top 15 large shopping capitals in the world, with over a hundred large but also medium-sized shopping malls. It has the Wangfujing Street, Qianmen Street, Xidan Shopping Mall and other famous commercial centres. Panjiayuan Mall and Liulichang Street have a variety of antiques, folk handicrafts, clay figurines, which are suitable as gifts for friends and relatives.

The symposium will be held at Tsinghua University. Tsinghua University is one of the most famous universities in China and even in Asia. It is located in the Qinghua Yuan (the former royal garden), northwest suburbs of Beijing. Tsinghua University has become an important base for training China¡¯s elites and doing advanced scientific researches.
